Lloyd Ltd hosts UK launch of new Pottinger Forage Wagon

From its impressive new premises on Eden Business Park in Penrith, on Wednesday 26th February Lloyd Ltd hosted the UK launch of Pottinger’s new Jumbo 20 Series Forage Wagon.  Over 100 Lloyd Ltd customers came to find out about this advanced new machine and to learn more about Pottinger’s extensive experience across the forage cycle, from maximising silage quality through timely harvesting to the importance of particle length for good rumen function.

Lloyd Ltd has been a Pottinger dealer since 2014, representing their extensive range of mowers, rakes, tedders and forage wagons, all of which have proved popular with their customers across their branch network due to Pottinger’s innovative approach and robust build quality.  Since it was founded in 1964 as a tractor dealer, Lloyd Ltd has continued to build its product portfolio with leading brands such as Pottinger to ensure that it can be the one-stop-shop its customers need to support all their farming operations.

The guests enjoyed a “Focus on Forage” presentation from Pottinger UK’s General Manager Shaun Groom and Territory Manager Barry Humphreys, which highlighted the Austrian family-run company’s approach to their machinery solutions and their focus on continued innovation to meet the ever-changing needs of farmers today, which has understandably made them the world leader in the forage wagon market.

Thereafter customers were able to browse the full range of Pottinger equipment accompanied by Lloyd Ltd’s knowledgeable staff, as well as to see for themselves the automatic sharpening capabilities of the new model Forage Wagons in the warmth of the workshop.

Mark Dixon, Sales Manager for Lloyd Ltd Carlisle & Penrith, commented: “We’ve had really positive feedback from our customers about the evening as it gave them a greater understanding of Pottinger’s range and all the research and development that goes into producing their machines.  Our bigger premises make it possible for us to host events like this so for us to have the UK launch of such an important machine for Pottinger is a real coup and shows the strength of the partnership between our companies.”

Pottinger’s Shaun Groom added: “Customer proximity is key for us at Pottinger and events like this allow us to engage directly with the local agricultural community. It’s as a result of these type of events that we have established the basis for all our actions, which is a focus on designing and manufacturing equipment that allows Pottinger users to achieving the best working results.  As a family owned business we pride ourselves on the dependable, professional relationship we have with Lloyd Ltd. This close relationship allows us to offer farmers and contractors across Cumbria the very best in machine innovation, backed up by aftersales support that is second to none.“
