Lloyd Ltd’s Groundcare Portfolio Expands Into Full Toro Line-Up & STAR EV Electric Utility Vehicles

One of the largest Toro dealers in the UK, Lloyd Ltd has been selling this world-leading groundcare brand from its branches across the north of England and south of Scotland for many years. Starting with Toro’s Golf range, Lloyd Ltd took on the Grounds franchise in 2018 and is now delighted to announce that it is adding the company’s Pro Contractor and Site Work Services lines to its already extensive portfolio.

These machines deliver the high-performing, versatile and durable solutions for which Toro has a global reputation, from commercial lawnmowers – zero-turn, stand-on and walk-behind models – and turf renovation speciality equipment, including aerators, slit seeders and brush cutters, to specialist machines including their Dingo range of compact utility loaders and attachments, walk-behind trenchers, and treecare machines including stump grinders and log splitters.

For this new sector Lloyd Ltd will work directly with Toro themselves, supplementing the existing relationship that the company has with Toro’s UK distributor Reesink UK for the Golf and Grounds ranges.  In turn this long-standing partnership has brought with it a further addition to Lloyd Ltd’s product line, namely the Reesink e-Vehicles range which is a timely move into offering the more environmentally-friendly utility vehicles produced by STAR EV.

Having launched the Toro Greensmaster eTriFlex 3370 mower in 2020, Reesink has a clear roadmap for its electric power solutions, responding to its customers’ environmental concerns, so the partnership with STAR EV is a natural progression for them.  With a range of 28 lithium and sealed battery-powered utility vehicles, STAR EV produces golf buggies and small, medium and large-capacity electric UTVs for carrying materials, and people carriers for 4–23 people.

The key features Reesink wanted for their electric range were fast charging, a good mileage per charge and an extensive warranty – up to six years on batteries – as well as being able to deliver on their “no more emissions” and “no more pollution” stance and STAR EV offered the perfect fit.  Thanks to the additional benefit of being significantly quieter and less maintenance than fuelled vehicles, users are able to start work earlier and continue later without disrupting nearby residents or visitors to the golf clubs, sports stadiums, training grounds and leisure resorts for which these machines are perfectly designed.

Simon Holmes, Lloyd Ltd’s Group Groundcare Sales Manager, commented: “Lloyd Ltd has worked in partnership with Toro for their Golf and Grounds ranges for a long time now so being able to offer their impressive Pro Contractor and Site Work Services ranges to our customers and complete the full Toro line-up is an excellent opportunity for the company.  Likewise, the STAR EV range of battery-powered utility vehicles is innovative and exciting, and we are sure it will prove popular with our customers who are increasingly looking for more sustainable and “greener” solutions to their groundcare needs.  As always, these new additions will be fully backed up by our manufacturer-trained expert engineers and parts advisors to ensure our customers get the best from their investment in these world-renowned products.  We will soon have demo machines available and our customers are bound to be impressed by what they can do and the superb build quality Reesink UK delivers every time.  We can’t wait to get started!”

Dave French, Reesink e-Vehicles Sales Manager says “I am delighted to have Lloyd Ltd on board as a STAR EV dealer for the North of England. They have a proven track record and a superb reputation when it comes to looking after their customers’ needs.  I am expecting our partnership with the e-Vehicles division to be a fruitful, healthy partnership”.
