Full-Time | Temporary – 6-Month Contract | Potential to Become Permanent
We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our busy and friendly accounts team on a temporary basis at our Head Office in Carlisle.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills to develop their experience within an established, family-run business. The role is offered on an initial six-month temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent.

💻What you’ll be doing:
- Processing supplier invoices and making timely payments.
- Setting up new supplier accounts.
- Reconciling supplier invoices and statements, investigating discrepancies where necessary.
- Checking and coding all invoices accurately.
- Liaising with internal departments regarding accounts queries.
- Supporting the wider accounts team with ad-hoc tasks.
✅We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong administration experience.
- Has previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts role (desirable).
- Is enthusiastic, proactive, and ready to work as part of a team.
- Has strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and maintain accuracy.
- Is IT literate and comfortable learning internal systems.
- Communicates clearly and professionally.

📍Location: Based at Lloyd Ltd Carlisle (Kingstown Broadway, Kingstown Industrial Estate, Carlisle, CA3 0EF)
💻Contract: Full-time, 6-month temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent.
🕑Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (either 8.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. or 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.).
