Be alert – risk of theft of PLM equipment

As part of their Rural Crime Initiative, the police forces local to our branches have notified us of an increased risk of theft of PLM devices and equipment.

As well as being more vigilant of this risk, we would advise that you make a note of the serial numbers of your equipment.  This should not only help with any insurance claim you may make, but it should also assist the police in tracing the owners should they recover the devices.

If you equipment is stolen, please also contact your local Lloyd Ltd branch with the serial numbers as we can then report it stolen to New Holland so that it can be added to the Trimble/New Holland blacklist, enabling them to render the equipment unusable should it be activated elsewhere

Please see below for how to find the serial numbers of your PLM equipment.  There is a different approach depending on the type of equipment:

Machine with GPS

As the pictures on the left show, select “Diagnostic” and then the “Can” tab.

The serial number will be displayed as SR#.

Machine with IntelliView IV

As the pictures on the right show, select “Toolbox” and then the “Activate” tab.

The serial number will be displayed near the top of the screen.
